October 2020 Meetup: DevSecOps & the CI/CD pipeline

Presentation Synopsis: I'll show an example of a working DevSecOps pipeline on a real-life project. I'll use GitLab to define jobs in a CI/CD pipeline and tie in dependent software to build an app, run automated code linting, tests, and automated security checks before deploying a software application to production with AWS. Show how security can fit into the continuous integration and deployment lifecycle to keep things tight even as software is rapidly changing, enabling us to deliver value to end users.
